DMCA PROVISIONS

The Digital Millennium Copyright Act of 1998, found at 17 U.S.C. § 512 ("DMCA"), provides recourse for owners of copyrighted materials who believe their rights under United States copyright law have been infringed online.

If the bona fide owner of copyrighted materials has a good faith belief that their rights have been infringed, they may contact the person/entity infringing on their copyright and the designated agent of an Internet Service Provider (ISP) to report the alleged infringement.

Real Life Threads and our ISP are committed to complying with all United States copyright laws and international trade practices. Upon receipt of a valid DMCA complaint, we will block access to the allegedly infringing material and forward a copy of the notice to the alleged infringer. Those who believe in good faith that a copyright notice was wrongfully filed against them may submit a counter-notification.

COUNTER NOTIFICATION TO CLAIMED COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT

If a copyright infringement notice has been filed against you, we will attempt to notify you with a copy of the notice. If you believe the claim is erroneous, you may file a counter-notification.

A valid counter-notification must include:

  1. Identification of the material that was removed or access-disabled and the location where it appeared before removal.
  2. A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was removed or disabled due to a mistake or misidentification.
  3. Your contact information, including your name, address, phone number, and a statement consenting to the jurisdiction of the federal district court in your area.

Send your counter-notifications to support@reallifethreads.com. If the counter-notification is valid, the material will be restored within 10–14 business days, unless the original complaining party provides notice of seeking a court order.

Disclaimer: Filing a false DMCA notice or counter-notice may result in substantial penalties. If you are unsure of your legal rights, we strongly recommend consulting an attorney.
